About delivery

When will I receive my order?

We dispatch during the week days only and your order will be with you the next working day (excluding Monday).

To place an order, you should order BEFORE 1 PM so that you receive your order the following day between 8am and 6pm.

PLEASE NOTE: If you place your order on Monday, since we are closed every Monday, your delivery will NOT be dispatched until Tuesday and therefore will be delivered to you on Wednesday.

A signature is required on delivery. If you think you may not be in to receive delivery, please specify any special instructions to the Sharmilee team i.e. leave with a neighbour by calling us on +44 116 261 0503.

We specifically request customers to be at their delivery address to receive their goods on the day they are informed they will receive it. If no one is available to accept delivery or if goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery we cannot accept liability and customers may face a re-delivery charge at the discretion of the courier company.

The courier will leave a “calling card” at the recipient address and it then becomes the recipient’s responsibility to contact the courier company to re-arrange a suitable delivery time and date or may otherwise collect the delivery goods from the relevant depot.

If you know your recipient is not at home during working hours, we do recommend that we deliver to a business address. Orders placed after 1pm are dispatched the next day for customers to receive the day after. Orders placed before 1pm on a Monday will be dispatched on the Tuesday and delivered on the Wednesday between 8am and 6pm.

How can you guarantee I will receive fresh sweets in good condition?

We only use freshly made sweets that have been carefully prepared and packaged at our Leicester shop for online orders. The contents of each order is then placed in proper packaging to ensure your sweets reach you in optimum condition. Please note, due to the freshness of our products and the use of external delivery partners, some sweets & savouries are naturally fragile and therefore, we cannot guarantee any breakage-free delivery. 

What are the delivery charges?

We offer a next working day courier service in the UK. Charges for orders weighing up to 5kg in England, Wales and most parts of Scotland is from £7.99. Shipping costs for Orders weighing over 20kg is £14.99. Sunday Delivery: Our usual delivery does not deliver on Sunday, however, there is an extra charge for Sunday deliveries, which can be requested over the phone: (0116) 266 8471.

We want you to be totally satisfied with the order you receive from Sharmilee.
